Clément Oudart est maître de conférences en littérature américaine à la Faculté des Lettres de Sorbonne Université. Il mène des recherches dans le champ de la poésie américaine du 20ème siècle. Il est l’auteur des Métamorphoses du modernisme : de H.D. à Robert Duncan (Presses Sorbonne Nouvelle, 2010), et, avec Nicholas Manning, de Signs of Eternity: H.D.’s Trilogy (2013). Il a dirigé plusieurs volumes et numéros de revues, notamment “Modernist Revolutions: American Poetry and the Paradigm of the New” (Transatlantica, 2016) et, avec Xavier Kalck, “Critical Dimensions: Sizing the American Long Poem” ( Revue Française d’Etudes Américaines, 2016). En 2019, il a co-organisé, un colloque international sur le poète californien Robert Duncan (“Passages”), projet porté avec des collègues français, américains et canadiens. Un projet de publication est en cours pour la revue Sillages Critiques en 2021.

 

Clément Oudart is Associate Professor of English at the College of Arts and Letters of Sorbonne University, where he teaches American literature. Focusing his research on twentieth-century American poetry, he is the author of a book on The Metamorphosis of Modernism, from H.D. to Robert Duncan (Presses Sorbonne Nouvelle, 2010), and, with Nicholas Manning, of Signs of Eternity: H.D.’s Trilogy (2013). He has edited several volumes, most recently “Modernist Revolutions: American Poetry and the Paradigm of the New” (Transatlantica, 2016 ) and, with Xavier Kalck, “Critical Dimensions: Sizing the American Long Poem” (Revue Française d’Etudes Américaines, 2016, https://www.cairn.info/revue-francaise-d-etudes-americaines-2016-2-p-3.htm). He organized in 2019 an international conference on Californian poet Robert Duncan (“Passages”) in partnership with colleagues in France, the U.S and Canada. A volume of essays is due to be published in Sillages Critiques by 2021.
