Ma thèse, intitulée « Shirley Jackson ou l’écriture de l’inhabitable » étudie les processus de désagrégation au sein de la cellule familiale et de la société dont elle est le microscosme. Les tropes du gothique permettent la mise au jour des hantises meurtrières à l’œuvre dans la psyché des héroïnes de Jackson, toutes vouées à cette forme d’errance et de quête qu’est la folie. Je travaille en ce moment à la publication d'une version de cette thèse, ainsi qu’à une traduction en anglais.

My research on Shirley Jackson is centered on the various processes at work in the psyche of her heroines, rending apart the fragile structures of their selves and of the world in which they are made to feel utterly undesirable. The strategies invented to resist the destructive power unleashed by both outer and inner forces is of major interest, which is why I am writing a shorter version of my thesis for the general public. I am currently working on the publication of a version of this thesis.
