John McLeod (Université de Leeds): “Writing the Trespasser: Race and Reception in Caryl Phillips’s Northern Lights”.

John McLeod is Professor of Postcolonial and Diaspora Literatures, University of Leeds. He is the author of Beginning Postcolonialism (2000, 2010), Postcolonial London: Rewriting the Metropolis (2004), and more recently of Life Lines: Writing Transcultural Adoption (2015). He has edited many volumes, including the Routledge Companion to Postcolonial Studies (2007). In the Spring of 2022, he will be Visiting Professor at Sorbonne University.
