DESCRIPTION:Rencontre exceptionnelle avec le poète Terrance Hayes qui sera l’invité de VALE/ Poetry Beyond à l’occasion de sa venue en France pour le congrès de l’AFEA. Hayes lira une sélection de poèmes issus de ses derniers recueils\, So to Speak (2023) et American Sonnets for My Past and Future Assassin (2018). La lecture aura lieu le mardi 21 mai et débutera à 18h dans l’amphi Farabeuf du Campus des Cordeliers (15 rue de l’Ecole de Médecine – Métro Odéon). Elle sera suivie d’un échange avec le public et d’une séance de dédicace. Séance organisée en partenariat avec la Direction des Affaires Culturelles et The American Library in Paris. \nInscription gratuite mais obligatoire sur BilletWeb:  https://www.billetweb.fr/rencontre-avec-le-poete-new-yorkais-terrance-hayes \nTerrance Hayes is the author of seven poetry collections: So to Speak; American Sonnets for My Past And Future Assassin\, a finalist for the National Book Award\, National Book Critics Circle Award\, and TS Eliot Prize; How to Be Drawn; Lighthead\, winner of the 2010 National Book Award for poetry; Muscular Music\, recipient of the Kate Tufts Discovery Award; Hip Logic\, winner of the 2001 National Poetry Series\, and Wind in a Box. His prose collection\, To Float In The Space Between: Drawings and Essays in Conversation with Etheridge Knight\, was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award and winner of the Pegasus Award for Poetry Criticism. Hayes has received fellowships from the MacArthur Foundation\, Guggenheim Foundation\, and Whiting Foundation\, and is a professor of English at New York University. \nAffiche_Terrance Hayes_21.05.2024
